Over 20 new books are now available on Illinois Scholarship Online (ILSO), adding to the Education, Film, Television, and Radio, History, Literature, Music, Society and Culture, and Sociology modules.
These books cover a diverse range of subjects, from contemplative practices such as yoga and meditation that treat the classroom as a sacred space to the critical significance of jazz in Afro-modernist literature between the Great Depression and the Civil Rights movement, and from an exploration of the ways women’s public demonstrations claim and transform public spaces to the economic and political inequality created by the permanent political class.
